Finds: Small amount of charcoal. The occasional burnt pink stone and some daub, and a burnt flint flake [CH72/ 2650-2, 2772] . F00543 B3 Posthole. Initially seen as a disturbed area in line with other postholes. The upper plan shows the initial trowelling which ceased about 20cm. down when solid bedrock was reached. Middle plan and section shows the true posthole further to the south-east of the disturbed area. The posthole continued to about 48cms below the clear edge: halfway down there was large (15cm.x 15cm. approximately) flat stone lying almost horizontally, either collapsed packing or a levelling up of the base for the post. No finds except one small fragment of charcoal, 2 bones 5 lumps of daub, and a small piece of pot [CH72/ 7147-9,  7220].
