Area of small stones along cutting edge with burnt uprights to North. Excavated in section, not conclusive, so widened to become F10119, which as also inconclusive, probable naturally disturbed not a real feature. Worn area of small occasionally abraded small stones. Runs N to S length of cutting. After removal of layer 1, the area was expanded to rest of E side of cutting, consisting of markedly compact and worn small and medium stones, possibly part of wider path, which continue under turf to East. This road or path lies on/over heavily disturbed area, from about 8m N running S and extending 2m westwards. The natural disturbance consists of nibbled vertical stone.

Small circular area of small vertical stones and small burnt stones, slightly sunken. A line to section F10115, F10114, F10113 F10107, with all these features dug together but only this F10114 seems a definite feature of layer was removed. Excavated in half section on west side - central fill of large vertical sloping and flat stones, with a few small burnt stones, shown on plan 14. Towards edge smaller and looser stones. The large stones to a depth of 30 cms below this was looser soil, smaller stones and burnt stones continued. On removal of other section - v large burnt stones - more burning on this E half than other. Also on the side the large stones are in the south side with loose smaller stones in N side. Post pipe in NE side - running downwards w to E, shown on section 8
