F04401 C7 Area of burning with small hard-packed rubble. Much burnt limestone in large chunks. Many larger burn stones. Seems to have two halves. F04401, the NW area with big flat burnt stones. The SE area with smaller stones, more disturbed is designated F04447. This is probably at least two hearth, the later one being F04401. F04447 is probably an earlier hearth. Hollow beneath the patch may be a feature: this was about 10 cms deep and very shallow sloping sides, perhaps a natural fault. Good vertical packing stones. Pack stone angles reflect the fact that F04407 cuts F04444. Definite PH with pack stones. One corner of structure B (four poster). Finds: Charcoal chunks, burnt soil and stones, some bone and fired clay.
