A stony platform?  A spread of small/medium sharp, angular stones across most of these two boxes. This corresponded to the capping of the 1971 stony platform.

A patch of burnt chipples and small stones which appeared as a circular patch of pink/grey burnt small stones and black soil.  A half section showed it to have no depth and it cannot therefore be considered as a post-hole.
