Possible land surface, within F02961, at approximately 10 cms from surface. This was not recognised in previous years, and was only shown up by the analysis of the features from F02961. At this stage Bob Alvey thinks that there may be more than one land surface below the habitation surface we do recognise. However, as at c10cms the surface does seem fairly compact, and is still producing a lot of finds, and contains a lot of stones, we have decided to number this as another land surface.
